NAD+ or Niagen?
Both options are designed to support the body's NAD+ pathway, but they are not the same treatment. NAD+ is the coenzyme itself. Niagen® is a branded form of nicotinamide riboside, a vitamin B3 derivative that the body converts into NAD+.
| NAD+ | Niagen® / NR |
|---|---|
| What it is A coenzyme present in every living cell | What it is A precursor the body uses to produce NAD+ |
| How it works Delivers NAD+ directly | How it works Supports the body's own production of NAD+ |
| Administration Commonly delivered as a slow IV infusion | Administration Oral forms are available; injectable use depends on the prescribed product and protocol |
| Appointment time Often requires a longer, slower infusion | Appointment time May allow a shorter visit when an injectable protocol is appropriate |
| Experience Faster rates may cause temporary nausea, flushing, cramping or discomfort | Experience Tolerability depends on the formulation, dose and route |
| Evidence Research on wellness IV outcomes remains limited | Evidence Human studies show increased NAD-related biomarkers; broader outcomes remain under study |
Which option is right for you?
The appropriate treatment depends on your health history, medications, goals and clinical eligibility. Every first-time Renew client completes a medical screening before treatment. Final formulation, dose and administration time are determined by the prescribing clinician.
Neither option is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. Individual experiences vary.
